Membership value, some minor issues

We bought a family membership online which was a good value for us, especially with the reciprocal benefits for other museums. The process was mostly smooth, but the confirmation email took a little longer than I expected to arrive, maybe an hour or so after purchase. It wasn't a huge deal but I did check my spam folder for a minute. When we visited, the staff were friendly and it's clear they put a lot of effort into the exhibits like the Discovery Garden. The museum shop had some nice educational books, though a few items seemed a bit pricey. Overall, it's a great local resource for families, just a small hiccup with the email timing.

Always a great visit

This was our third time getting tickets for WonderLab, we usually come during school breaks. Each time I've bought general admission tickets online, and it's always been consistent. The site is easy to navigate, and the tickets are emailed immediately. We specifically came back for the Animal Hour this time, which my daughter loves. It's reliable and the exhibits are always clean and well-maintained. We'll definitely be back again next break.

Fun for the kids!

Took my little ones to WonderLab and they had a blast. Got our tickets online easily. The Bubble-Air Station was a huge hit, they could've stayed there all day. It was a good way to spend an afternoon.

Good exhibits, easy ticket purchase

I purchased general admission tickets online for my two kids and myself for a Saturday visit. The website was straightforward, letting me pick the date and time slot without any fuss. I received the confirmation email instantly with the e-tickets attached, which was convenient. At the museum, scanning them at the entrance was quick. We spent about three hours exploring the Water Works exhibit and the Climbing Forest. Both were engaging, though the Water Works area got a bit crowded. The staff were present and helpful, especially near the bubble-air station, keeping things moving. Overall, a smooth experience from start to finish and the kids loved it.

Is WonderLab similar to The Children's Museum in Indy or more like a smaller science center? trying to set expectations for my visit.

L Laura Lindqvist 1 month ago
It's definitely smaller than the Indy Children's Museum, but it's really hands-on. More focused on science stuff than general kids' play. Good quality exhibits though.

Think more like a science center, less massive than Indy. Still a ton to do and interact with, especially for the size. You can easily spend a good half-day there.

Thinking of taking my kiddos to WonderLab next month. Is it good for really little ones, like 2-3 year olds? Or more for older kids?

P Paula K. 1 month ago
Oh yeah, totally good for toddlers! They have a whole area called Baby Brilliance and some water stuff that little ones love. My 3-year-old had a blast.

It's definitely geared for a range of ages. My older one (8) found stuff to do, but my younger one (4) was busy with the bubbles and some of the sensory exhibits. They'll find something.

Yeah, I think they do Black Friday sales for memberships sometimes. I got mine discounted last year around then.

Keep an eye out for seasonal stuff. They often have special promos during spring/summer or around holidays. Also, if you're a first-time visitor, sometimes there's a deal on that.

Do I need to buy tickets ahead of time, or can I just show up at the door on a Saturday morning?

O Omar 2 months ago
You can usually buy at the door, but for popular times like Saturday mornings, it's safer to get them online. Avoids waiting.

I've just walked in on a weekday without issues. Weekends, especially if there's a special event, might get crowded so pre-booking might be smarter.
